The Legendary Club Scene / Client: Long Island Music Hall of Fame
The Legendary Club Scene, is a club crawlthrough the 60s, 70s and 80s. Long Islanders reminisce with replicas of some key clubs like My Father’s Place and The Mad Hatter where many misspent their youth listening to bands like the Good Rats, Twisted Sisterand legions of other rockers.
In the center of the exhibition hall is a period-era stage for live performances, complete with immense bass bins and high-frequency horns from Zebra’s 1980s rig and donated by the band. There is also a drum kit and cowbell from Blue Öyster Cult drummer Albert Bouchard, an organ played on the The Ed Sullivan Show by Vanilla Fudge’s Mark Stein, and Twisted Sister’s original hand-painted stage banner, and a backdrop of advertisements from the era.
